Ethnic Minority and Traveller Achievement Service News April 2013
Although this year we have said farewell to another three members of staff, we have still continued to support a large number of schools. The work of the team has been valued and appreciated by many schools and reflected in OFSTED reports.
The number of Black and Minority Ethnic pupils in Gateshead Schools continues to rise. During 2012 EMTAS supported over 350 pupils in over 33 schools. There are currently 80 home languages spoken by pupils in Gateshead schools.
