Foundations for baseline assessment and building for future success
This conference will provide delegates with an opportunity to explore and re-examine one of the most powerful educational approaches for young children. This is recognised in the new Ofsted handbook and is an important approach in using Early Years Pupil Premium effectively.
Our first keynote speaker Professor Dr. Ferre Laevers, together with his associate Julia Moons, will appraise the EYFS, highlighting the challenges of keeping the child in the middle. There will be a focus on considering principles which underpin best practice when assessing young children. Prof Laevers will be known to many delegates for his work on measuring young children’s involvement and wellbeing using the Leuvens scales. Jan Dubiel our third keynote speaker will continue this theme of re-focusing on guiding principles for assessment which respects the child.
